Grade: 5 – Lansdowne Elementary School

Sports: Winter – Snow Valley Racing Ski Team – U12, Summer – HUMA Swim Club – Performance Squad

What made you want to join a swim team?

Swimming is one of my favorite sports, and I really enjoy being in the water.  The breast stroke is my specialty.

What is your favorite part of being on the ski team?

I really enjoy getting better and progressing throughout the season.  My favorite hill is definitely Sun Peaks in BC.

What is the best part of being on a sports team?

The best part is the opportunity to make new friends outside of school and getting to know more people – even kids from other ski/swim clubs!

How do sports make your life better?

They’re super fun, and they make me stronger.

Any sports you might want to try in the future?

I’m definitely interested in gymnastics as well.

Any words of advice for other Lansdowne athletes?

Give a new sport a try.  If you like it, great! If not, try something else!
