Poppy’s Sweet Treats

My name is Poppy, and I am a young entrepreneur. At 13 years old, I started my own baking business, Poppy’s Sweet Treats. Since the age of 2, I have “baked up a storm,” as my family says.

During the Covid lockdown, my baking obsession skyrocketed. After having so many different treats in the house, my family encouraged me to launch my own business. I started by going door to door every night for the following months selling five to ten dozen cookies a night.

At the beginning of my journey, I was only selling three types of cookies (M&M, chocolate chip, and chocolate peanut butter chips.) Now after three years, I have added a wide variety of treats to my menu, increasing the recipes to seven types of cookies, four types of cupcakes, custom cakes, and many more amazing treats.

For many holidays throughout the year, Poppy’s Sweet Treats launches a special treat or deal. This past Valentine's Day, I sold packs of 6 red velvet cupcakes for $10. Because of the precision and hours of practice it has taken, my favorite treats to bake are custom cakes.
